Jazz Club is my main. I wear it pretty much every day, and if Kazuma Kiryu wore cologne between beating up thugs and drinking at Serena, it would be this one.

What it smells like

It's from Maison Margiela's Replica line, and the label on the bottle literally says "Heady cocktails and cigars", which is a pretty honest description. It smells like rum and sweet pipe tobacco with some vanilla mixed in, plus a bit of lemon and pepper right after you spray it. It's smoky, but in a cozy bar kind of way. A few people online say it turns into an ashtray on them, so try it on your own skin before you buy a full bottle.

When it shines

Where it really shines is when you're wearing a button-up. Office work, social gatherings, dinners, that kind of thing. It pulls a lot of aggro from the ladies and it's a big people pleaser in general.

Most people get around six hours out of it, and the projection is moderate, so people notice it when they're talking to you without it filling the room. A lot of wearers save it for fall and winter, but I wear it daily and I haven't had a problem with that.

Worth your gold?

Yes. It costs around €101 or $170 for 100 ml, which puts it in the mid tier, and that's not cheap for something you spray every morning. But it's my main, and a scent you wear every day earns its money back fast. If you want to test it first, Sephora sells a 10 ml travel spray for around $32.

Buy it if you want one scent you can wear to the office and to a party, every day of the week.

Skip it if you want something light and citrusy for hot summer days.
